O objeto social da ALADA visa explorar economicamente a infraestrutura espacial e as atividades relacionadas ao desenvolvimento de projetos e equipamentos e realizar projetos e atividades de apoio ao controle espacial e áreas correlatas. A ALADA tem por visão “ser reconhecida por impulsionar e integrar o mercado aeroespacial brasileiro, tornando-o atrativo e rentável, vindo assim a transformar a história do Programa Espacial Brasileiro e também estabelecer o Brasil como um ator de relevância no cenário mundial aeroespacial, com maior independência tecnológica, mais postos de trabalho de alto valor agregado e tendo por resultado diversos benefícios à sociedade.” A ALADA transforma os Centros de Lançamento de Alcântara (CLA) e da Barreira do inferno (CLBI) em portais comerciais para o espaço, oferecendo toda infraestrutura de solo e apoio operacional da FAB para o preparo, lançamento, rastreio e telemetria de engenhos espaciais. O CLA e o CLBI são conhecidos por sua localização equatorial privilegiada (otimização de combustível) e por sua confiabilidade (mais de 3.500 lançamentos), além de garantir acesso a 99% e 60% das órbitas comerciais, respectivamente. Além disso, o Brasil oferece condições ideais para operações de lançamento com um arcabouço legal robusto, acordos de salvaguarda tecnológica, estabilidade climática e geopolítica.
