Extreme floods leave communities in uncertainty, with scarce and unreliable water-level data. Traditional stations are costly, fragile, and often fail when most needed, creating insecurity for governments and vulnerable populations. TideSat solves this with a unique IoT sensor that measures water remotely using GPS signals. Low-cost, resilient, and easy to deploy, it ensures reliable data access even during disasters, making monitoring accessible and trustworthy. TideSat delivers a full, affordable water-level monitoring service—covering installation, maintenance, telemetry, and cloud intelligence. Our sensor is low-cost, easy to install, and needs no physical supports. Placed safely away from water, it withstands floods and avoids vandalism. By shifting processing to the cloud, we cut costs and ensure resilient, uninterrupted data, setting TideSat apart as reliable and accessible even in extreme conditions. Winner of the Galileo Master University Challenge and Galileo Incubation 2020 (ESA). 1st place in Centelha 2022 (Brazil’s Ministry of Science).
